1973 Triumph TR-6 Additional Info:

This listing is for my 1973 Triumph TR6. This has been a excellent daily driver for me and a absolute blast to take to a occasional Cars and coffee or a show. The started out in life as white car, but than in 1976 it was painted Carmine red. It lived in California for most of its life but ended up in Wisconsin in the early 90s where I found it. The TR6 is unique being fitted with Air conditioning from the dealer. It's still charged with R12 and everything works if you jump some relays. This also has a Factory Hardtop which was covered in Vinyl from day one, yay 70s. The top has a beautiful headliner and all the trim is accounted for along with the original Triplex glass. The interior is in great shape with a new carpet, dashpad, floor mats. Obviously the seats were recovered in a cloth sometime in the late 70s and the roll bar was added somewhere in that time frame. Does this have any rust? Every wing has some bubbling, and the right hand rocker panel has a hole. The frame has a couple spots on each end near the trailing arm and has a couple of spots near the t shirt section. The floors are perfect and the trunk floor is as well. Everything works on this car, all the lights, dash lights, heater blower all function perfect. The car runs great but will need valve guides and seals sometime in the future it smokes a little on deceleration. This car does not have Overdrive. New parts include, new Gas tank, Fuel pump, weber carbs, plugs, wires, cap and rotor, radiator, hoses, clutch -pressure plate and throwout bearing. New clutch slave cylinder, Master cylinder, pads and rotors. new starter.New dashpad, carpet and floor mats. A suspension rebuild is in order for the next owner as all the bushings are original. Originally the idea was to fix the small areas of rust and blend it in to the terrible carmine red, add a w58 5 speed and wala, a perfect beater TR6. Unfortunately expenses on a project ahead of this one mandate this to sit. Somebody needs to go out and enjoy the heck out of this. Good luck and happy bidding!
