1975 Triumph TR-6 Additional Info:

For sale is my 1975 Triumph TR6. It's an original, low mileage and rust free car.

This TR6 has a build date of March 1975 and started its US life in Nebraska, moved to Colorado in 1999 then Los Angeles in the early 2000s. The car was garaged during winters and never saw adverse weather. I purchased the car in the summer of 2014.
The exterior was originally Carmine Red (paint code 82) but was repainted the same color with metallic flakes by the original owner. The repaint was frame-on and included the original factory hardtop (no longer for sale). The engine compartment, trunk, frame and lower body areas were sprayed with a sealant years ago, possibly from the factory, so is clean and rust-free. There are some dings, scratches and other blemishes on the paint and it's showing its age, but overall this TR6 is really in great condition. The chrome and windows are in good shape. The tires are "redlines" and have plenty of wear left. It’s a 5 - 10 footer depending on your prescription.
This TR6 runs and drives great. All suspension and brake components were removed, scrubbed and cleaned or replaced. This included shocks, springs, bushings, rotors, calipers, nuts, bolts, washers and many many other components. Common issues have been addressed and the carbs were recently rebuilt. Points were replaced in favor of electronic ignition. The car starts right up every time without fuss or drama. Oil pressure is good and the car runs at a good temperature. There's plenty of pep in this engine and the gearbox feels great.
The tan interior (code 14) is in very good condition and looks great with the red exterior. The door panels are in great shape with no sagging. The seats are nice and firm with virtually no signs of wear. The black convertible top is in good condition but has a wear spot on the passenger side where it contacted the frame during folding.
The dash is in good shape and the wood looks great. Electricals are good and all gauges work. Headlights, reverse lights, brake lights, blinkers, horn and windshield wipers work as expected. The windshield fluid sprayer, however, does not.
If you're looking for a solid TR6 that you can drive anywhere, this is your car.Feel free to contact me with questions or for photos of specific areas.
