1960 Triumph TR3 Additional Info:

Car located in Bainbridge, Georgia, owned by a retired Air Force, flag rank, command pilot. Bought car in 2012 from Austin, Texas, and invested another $8K getting it ready for wife's surprise 72nd birthday (bought her first TR3A in 1961 when I was a lieutenant/B-47 pilot). Sadly, she experienced medical issues and was never able to drive the car. It has remained garaged, started and driven to local golf course once monthly. Although the car has not had a "ground-up" restoration, all body panels (front, hood, fenders, doors, and rear deck) were removed reattached with new "captured nuts" and some minor rust issues corrected---then repainted white.

Car features:

  • negatively grounded
  • great engine
  • immediate start-up
  • runs strong
  • electronic ignition
  • electric fuel pump with new tank sending unit
  • carbs adjusted and synced
  • two electric fans and new thermostat
  • good interior, top and tires
  • Side curtains, fair but usable
