1966 Triumph TR4 IRS Roadster

This car came from a private collection of over 100 cars in northern Virginia. It is immaculate. No rust and is absolutely beautiful.

Restoration:

Just restored, frame on restoration, this is a 1966 TR4 IRS comes with a completely rebuilt inline 4 cylinder engine 2138cc/104HP with roller rockers at a cost of over $5000. Along with the engine, and also just restored is the 4 speed syncromeshed transmission with OVERDRIVE. Even the rear end was taken out and restored as well as with all new parts along with all new brakes. Transmission, rear end and brake restoration was another $5000. I have the receipts from Made in England Motors for the restoration.

This car sits on brand new tires with 60 spoke knock on chrome wire wheels, and is absolutely stunning. The seats are leather with red piping. Yes, the original was white but this looks great. All systems such as lights, wipers, turn signals, hand brake, horn, heater, etc. has been replaced and restored.

The paint is flawless even under the hood as one may see from the pictures. There has been a lot of time spent to every attention to detail and refurbishing this beautiful classic…everything is as it should be throughout the entire car. Again, the pictures tell the story …look at the engine, shroud, brake components, carburetors, hoses, intake, exhaust…even the grill, bumper and lights are perfect.

It has a new 810 cranking amp battery, new Trophy steering wheel and horn set with adapter, new spare tire and rim with correct appointments. The fitment of the hood, doors and trunk are excellent.

It comes with a boot cover and tonneau…jacks, hammer and tools. I also have a brand new luggage rack still in its original wrapper. I even have the original AM/FM radio. A pertronics ignition set was installed for ease of starting.

Hagerty appraises a concours TR4 @ $48K, excellent @$33K, good @ $21K and fair @ $13K….average is around $20K. This car is somewhere between good and excellent…priced at $26,000…and this car is in well above average condition. This is a showcar and if it ain’t….it does not need much.
