The clutch, axle boots, and fuel system float/gage were repaired. Both front axle knuckles were replaced as was the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. The transfer case seals were replaced at the same time with both clutch and pressure plate replaced. Fluids and lubrication have been regularly serviced annually during storage and recently while the pickup operates locally Occasional road trips of about 200 miles have been within central Texas. While not a 'show vehicle' it is a find for one looking to care for an original model of this year.

The pickup has a factory bumper hitch and additional socket hitch attached to the frame appearing just below the rear bumper. The hitch is wired for lights. Towing capacity is rated far better than normally require. External locking hubs engage 4x4 drive and is controlled through transfer case in the cab floor.

The stock 15″ steel wheels are factory chrome plated. New Firestone Destination LE2 2575:15 tires now matching all around including the painted steel spare wheel and tire mounted under the bed.

The bed cap is aluminum frame with sliding side windows and a locking fold up window that may be locked along with the tailgate. This provides carpeted area for camping or keeping gear. Brackets hold the Yakima post when not in use.
