1984 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ42 LX Additional Info:

This is a rare unicorn - for sale is my 1984 BJ42 LX in excellent original condition. No mods, "up grades"or body alterations have been done to it. I am the second owner having purchased it from the original owner (Mr. Terry Firth) in Australia in 2006. The last year Toyota built the BJ42 world wide was 1984. The BJ42 and the LX option ('83 &'84) were never sold in the U.S. This Cruiser includes the following:
- VIN = BJ42007621; ebay will not accept the shorter Australian VIN in the field above
- Diesel engine - 3.4L 4 cyl engine (3B) - gets about 28 mpg - 5 speed - cruises comfortably at 65 MPH
- PS, PB and AC
- LX option - 3 wind shield wipers, forward seating with seat belts for 6 people, original "zebra stripe" upholstery, LX interior trim and floor covering, LX chrome wheels.
- New Goodyear tires (all five), roof rack with ladder access
- 12Volt electrical system
- Full floating rear axle
- Original paint (Mustard Yellow) in very good condition - has never been repainted
- Needs: some rust damage on right rear quarter panel. This was caused by drilling a hole to attach the ladder for roof top access. I have the ladder, it's just not installed. Windshield has a crack - rock hit it a few year ago.
- All original tools and pouch, jack and have the original steering wheel as well as some other parts and filters
- 253,705 km = 157,645 miles; odometer is in km.
- I also have the original four color Toyota brochure printed in 1984 that was given to the original owner when he bought the cruiser new in 1984. Note the 1984 Olympic ad in lower right corner. The brochure includes all land cruiser models Toyota manufactured at that time. I have other paper work and manuals.

This BJ42 can be driven daily as is or a new owner could undertake a restoration if they are so inclined. It is an excellent candidate for either. $33,500
