1973 Toyota Hilux Additional Info:

This hi-lux is a treasure. At 45 years old its structure mechincs and utility ability is apparent.
Its a luxuary to be able to work on almost all aspects of it, depending on ones skill.
1973 Toyota hi-lux (2WD pickup), 4 speed manual transmission. 18R-C 4 cylinder motor. Odometer reads 72k but was not counting when I got it. It probably has about 3000 more miles. It sat for 12 years in a garage. With fluids, elbow grease and new charge, it purred and sputtered back to life.Emblem
Strong runner good compression and reliable starter and ignition system. Has new shocks. She glides along at 65 on the California highways. Also smog exempt in California.
It always starts and runs. We check it everyday.
Some repairs and parts are needed
Needs rear springs and 3 tires.
(Theres a long story regarding needing a new clutch and transmission possibly) Toyota in Petaluma, CA replaced and rebuilt them last year and now their having issues. Any concerns have been dismissed by them. Have receipt for work. Some other records available
New passenger and driver windows, has high grade plexiglass currently. High beam bulbs and body work. Needs a carbuator rebuild or replace eventually.
