This is probably the nicest all original 1978 Toyota SR5 truck that you will ever find. It is a low mile, completely rust free, one owner, lovingly maintained, all original, California blue plate cream puff. So if that doesn't get my point across, THIS TRUCK IS NICE! It has been loved by an elderly couple who even had a special garage built just for this truck. It is not a Barn Find. It is and always has been well cared for. It has only 88,000 original miles since new. The original 20R four cylinder engine runs like new. The manual transmission shifts very easily. The clutch and brakes are excellent. I have many receipts from over the years as well as a detailed handwritten journal documenting the maintenance. Like I said, this truck was their baby. The body is beautiful on the truck. It has zero rust. It is very straight and in excellent condition. The paint is excellent. The stripes have a small amount of checking which is to be expected after 39 years. Very minor but I want you to know everything so we are both happy with the deal. The floorpans are excellent as you would expect. The bed is like new. It had the cool old vintage camper shell installed when it was new. It has the neat old style crank out camper windows and wood paneling inside. It is just cool. You can crawl back and forth through the open back window into and out of the camper. I also have the factory back window if you wanted to go back to 100% stock but I would not change a thing. You can throw your surfboard in back. The interior is like new. It has always had seat covers on it and the upholstery is beautiful. The only flaw is a tiny split maybe a quarter of an inch long on the bottom of the driver's seat. The paint inside, the dashpad, the doors, the glovebox, the gauges, etc. all look like new. All of the gauges, lights, signals, etc. all work as they should. Even the original radio works well! It is a 2WD, not a 4x4. Nice newer Toyota wheels with excellent tires. I also have the original rims with the factory hubcaps that are included. I have all of the factory manuals and owner's manual. Whether you are a Toyota collector, want to go surfing, want to go camping, or just go for ice cream,I think you could search for years to find a better example.
