1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-40 Additional Info:

A beautiful 1974 in really great what appears to be in original only slightly altered shape! Comes with all stock power plant and 3 speed manual trans on the floor with hatchback rear doors (went to the dual ambulance doors with no open while driving ability in 1975)! Front disk breaks. Has a few extras including a pair of almost brand new soft half doors with bikini top, and a new power steering kit in the box! I bought this beauty this past Fall but no time for her so selling in just about the same condition I purchased. I looked into the installation of the PS kit and was quoted 1000.00 to install by a custom shop! Sill has the instructions and all with it and called the manufacture and they still support this kit! A True Beauty who drives as good as she looks! Since all is almost in original fine condition I will list what is missing or in complete and general status items, please fell free to inquire on any other details: Almost no rust at all, pictures attempt to show the small surface spots. Looks to be like a little repair in the rear around the lower doors, lower edges of the top and some at the top repaired as well, some in the rear fender area and on the side by the lower passenger door frame. No stereo. Very nice condition rear seats! Almost a full original tool kit. All knobs in place, all systems working... Under carriage looks in great shape! I'll get some better pictures on here, these were from when I first got her in and not the greatest! Floors are in very good shape! Frame too looks great! Stock engine with maybe original miles (roll over of odometer expected i.e. 106,600.) all checks out and runs good! (All 4 wheel drive functions work great, locking hubs, trans smooth will do 70+mph. I have a video showing drive, climbing, braking and speed I can send you! Very good remaining tire tread life from new. Very nice paint and interior all around as you can see! Would prefer to have interested buyer come and drive her in person prior to buying... I have bought almost a dozen vehicle w/o driving and have had some great luck but if possible come on over and take her for a ride! Front wheel disk brakes stops amazing, parking brake great too! Great seals all around, with a slight pealing of a 1/2" section on the driver seat seam...new dash cover, no obvious leaks. Several added top quality parts and obvious on going maintenance invested in this very tough beauty! The only odd item about her is that the real spare tire is on a nice rack but you have to pull the rack out of the tow receiver to open the rear door! I have my long time owned "KTM Orange" 741/2 FJ40 listed now (maybe) on EBay as well and be willing to swap some/add some part around on either vehicle if any interest? As with the sale of all older vehicles this is a no warranty transaction but I will be glad to send with all previous work documentation and help with all questions! Be glad to assist with setting up for your pick-up in person or with a delivery service as well. I will continue to add info as this listing moves forward.
