History
Original one owner vehicle from Japan and imported direct to Canada in 2009 through Zen Autoworks, whospecialize in only the highest quality imports.I have been a member of the Celica community for over 15 years, having purchased my first 1988 GT-Four in 2001. I moderate several Celica forums and communities, and host a large annual meet for Celica and Toyota owners.I have personally loved this car, as it was a dream to own one of these rare beauties. However, I am selling due to changes in priorities in my life and will be very sad to see it go. I have meticulously maintained the car myself, has never been smoked in and is an extremely good example of a genuine WRC model. I have replaced all components of the superstrut suspension, and have recently completed a full service including the timing belt and all fluids.
It was imported to Canada as a Grade 4B (genuine mileage, no accidents) car, has been garage kept the entire time. There is nothing that would be outside of cosmetic normal wear and tear. The interior is in excellent condition.The car has never been involved in an accident.
Genuine WRC Homoligation Model
The vehicle is one of 2,500 genuine WRC models produced worldwide.The 2500 units homologationcars built to allow Toyota to enter the GT-Four as a Group Acar in the World Rally Championship also sported extras such as all of the plumbing required to activate an anti-lagsystem, a water spray bar and pump for the front intercooler, a basic water injection system, a small hood-mounted spoiler aft of the windscreen washers (also standard fit on all UK cars) and an extender rear spoiler mounted on risers. Out of the 2500GT-Four WRCbuilt, 2100 stayed in Japan, 300 were exported to Europe, 77 for Australia, 5 for New Zealand and a few to the general markets. (reference: Wikipedia)
