First off all of the little things I have tested on this truck work, this truck runs drives and looks like a DREAM! Cruise Control works great, doors and tailgate open and close smooth and solid, the power windows work as they should, transmission shifts like butter, clutch is strong, 4x4 system is smooth and simple, delayed wipers interior lights exterior lights, air conditioning is complete factory and functioning. Tilt steering wheel is easy as it should be and this truck starts right up with no effort more than barely turning the key. When this truck starts it is quiet as a mouse, both the engine and the exhaust. This truck still has its factory Catalytic Converter as well as all other SMOG equipment so in any state where emissions might be important YOU HAVE ALL FACTORY EQUIPMENT IN TACT. The only thing modified on this pickup is the Turbo, it has been upgraded professionally to an OEM TOYOTA CT26 Turbo, this is a common upgrade as it is a factory Toyota Turbo originally removed from a 1991 Toyota Supra, this turbo was rebuilt and modified to fit the 22RE-t as the original CT22 did. LOOK AT THE PICTURES, HEAT SHIELDS WERE RETAINED, ONLY NOTICEABLE THING ABOUT THE UPGRADE BESIDES THE CT26 ON THE HOUSING IS THE 3" DOWNPIPE MANDREL BENT AND HEAT WRAPPED THROUGH THE FENDER WELL. This was done to make sure EGT stays down, even though there is no EGT gauge in this truck it never gets warm. Runs strong and cool. Talk about power, this truck has power like a modern V8 with factory smooth feel. No power loss in the hills compared to say a factory 22re truck :) (I have 30 Toyota Pickups and typically buy, sell and trade around 100 Toyota Pickups per year) This truck is absolutely extraordinary.
This truck retains almost all (couldn't find the pass fender or tailgate sticker, could have fell off over the years) VIN tags verifying original sheetmetal. The hood, both doors, drivers door, cab and bed all retain factory VIN tags. Ebay isnt real generous with their 24 pics so if you would like more pics please text anytime I can send them over to you.
Factory Toyota Digital Double DIN Cassette Player still works. Pretty sure the speakers have had better days because it isn't very loud, but it the stereo head unit factory Toyota does work as it should.
Factory Sunroof Shade is in excellent condition, sunroof seals up like it is supposed to I have had it out in light rain couple times didn't get rained on, no evidence of leaking inside of the cab or headliner as shown in pictures.
31x10.50R15 tires are a little oversized so the speedometer is incorrect some, I used a free GPS program when I drove it to gauge how far off it was at what speeds, once I got that down beebopping around is easy. Speedometer Tripmeter Odometer Tachometer and all other gauges work as they should.
Please look at all pictures, Paint is glossy and straight, two owner truck is my knowledge - elderly owned entire life, never used as a truck. Bedliner protected bed, looks great. A couple tiny pin dents you have to look for to see. This truck is factory black on gray, loaded. This is the truck that was in the showroom at the Toyota Dealership back in 1986 showing off all of the options you could get! Power windows, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Steering, Turbo Charger, Factory Sunroof, Rear Slider, Rear Cargo Light, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel, Tilt Steering, Leather Shift Knob, Chrome Fender Trim, Upgraded Chrome Rear Bumper, Cloth Headliner, SR5, the list goes on and on. Take a close look, this truck is worth collecting and watching climb in value for the future or drive it daily as it truly drives wonderful like you would imagine from its condition. Runs drives shifts brakes accelerates extremely good, this is a comfortable truck you could drive to Miami right now today.
If I had to pick this truck apart, and point out some things for you to make sure you are aware of before bidding and as you are looking at the pictures, this would be my things to make sure and mention, there are a couple very small dings all outside of major body lines that you have to look for. I would call them very small door dings, I tried to capture the entire panels with reflective lines so you can see this truck is VERY VERY STRAIGHT but I own $50k show cars that dont have a flaw anywhere, this truck does have a couple very small very hard to find dings that do exist :) In person this truck is even more impressive than the pictures!! There are also rock chips you may notice from the wider tires mostly on the lower portion of the doors, both doors. If you were picky or live in a place where rust is a concern, we are a desert climate not much rust here, you could have them repaired for an estimated $50-$150 worst case. There is also some oil seepage here and there, from various locations. When it is parked after being driven all day it might leave 2 or 3 drips, but it does not 'drink' any fluids, no noticable "leaks" but it does have some seepage here and there, this is a classic collectible vehicle that has been EXTREMELY WELL TAKEN CARE OF but it has not had a frame off concourse restoration, please understand that :). I took plenty of pictures of the underside and every other side of the truck so you can see with your own eyes.
