1982 Toyota SR5 4x4 Model Additional Info:

The body is in very good shape. Runs strong, shifts great. I just put the engine and tranny in last week. Open headers now, pipes on soon. Radiator is in the back in the bed. Good interior. Body is Rhino lined blue. Front bumper is heavy duty with 10,000 LB winch. 2" suspension lift, 2" body lift added to allow the small block conversion (metal tubing, not plastic junk body lift). Tires are new, under 6,000 miles. 35/12.5/15. (99% tread). I am going to install a speed shifter on the floor. That can be the buyers choice. I also have the 4 wheel, high/low shifter out of the 85 Suburban that all of the parts are coming out/off of. This is a drivable conversion project, but it is still a project rig.
I rebuilt the 22R that was in it when I purchased the truck. It ran like a top. Also when the 22R was rebuilt I removed the 4 speed, and installed a 5 speed. After 2500 miles the tranny went out. It was replaced with another of the same. Again, after 25-2600 miles the tranny went out. I then decided to convert the Toy to a Chevy drive train. It was a great truck that went everywhere I took it. Mostly freeway though. Now with the V8 set up it scoots. However I have had it no faster then 55 mph, and gone nowhere but down the driveway, and a couple miles on the paved back roads around our home.
Again, this is a drivable project. In the pics you will see the engine still has the factory carb, valve covers, basic stalk factory everything. I intended to do the cleaning, new carb, valve covers...... after it was rolling and ready to be spit shined.
