Starting with a clean sidekick I added Wheels/Tires/Lift and a few miscellaneous replacement parts for just over $2,500 in the past year. I provided screen shots of the large purchased items.
In addition to the photos here there are two walk around videos you can find by searching "youtube 1994 Suzuki Sidekick Trail Tough 2.5 Lift"
I'm including a new set of seat covers and windshield wipers and a set of wheel spacers I decided not to use. I also have the factory sidekick wheels with a set of worn out tires on them for free if you'd like them.
Here are some questions and answers I've received so far.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q. What size are the tires?A. 245 75 16 Goodyear Wrangler Authorities with less than 5k miles on them. They have plenty of tread but aren't too loud on the road. They are E load rated so have extra plies on the sidewall so you don't have to worry about rocks splitting the tire on the trail. They do rub a little at full lock on the front but only happens when trying to whip into a tight parking spot. I am including wheel spacers if you want to use those to avoid the rubbing but they made the wheels stick out too far for my taste.
Q. Is the body in perfect shape?A. Perfect for being 25 years old paint with 195k miles of experience! Seriously though, its a good 5-footer and you can see details of the blemishes on the walk around video on youtube.
Q. What kind of mileage does it get?A. When I had the factory wheel/tires it was 24-26. With the larger tires its down to 20-21. The factory wheels with some used tires are available free if you would like them.
Q. Does it go 70 mph?A. If I have to pull a long hill I'll turn off the overdrive and let the RPMs pull it up otherwise it holds its own. These never were very fast cars with the 1.6liter so don't expect a rocket ship.
Q. Do all of the electric options work?A. Yep, the passenger rear window rolls up a little slowly. The computer is throwing a CEL for an O2 sensor which has been that way since I've owned it and just haven't bothered to replace it.I did have some starting trouble a month ago so I bought a AGM battery from Sam's Club and replaced the battery cables. It's been running like a champ since. Reliable daily driver that you can have fun with on the weekends.
