1969 Subaru Other Additional Info:
- Subaru Other .
This is a 1969 Subaru 360 van, first off its a seriously rare vehicle. That said this is a ONE OF A KIND Subi 360. It has a Honda Magna 500cc motorcycle motor in it . The motor runs great. I started the motor swap a few years ago working with my best friend, who tragically passed away prior to completion.
It uses the Subi differential, and the Honda clutch "which doesn't always release fully" and gearbox
Has a aluminum radiator
If you are looking for an immaculate, well maintained example of a Subaru360.you have come to the wrong place. This van has been around the block more than a few times.
If you have never driven a older vehicle then this may not be the car for you.
As for the bad bits... there are none... just kidding there are lots.'There is no radio at all.
The air conditioning isn’t working, "just kidding, there is no air conditioning" but the windows do, so bonus.
The car doesn't smoke but it more than makes up for that by leaking oil from the differential "I park on a catch tray".
You have to ask........how many ways a man can show his wife he loves her, with the purchase of a new van was the proven +number 1 "may not be 100% accurate"
There is Obsolete vehicle Support, Subaru has abandoned the 360's but the have a active following online
You can pick up four times as many chicks in this then you can in a Lamborghini
Has anti-lock brakes, and by that I mean no matter how hard you stomp on them I doubt they will lock up actually they're so anemic they probably don't have enough power to lock up the wheels!
The clutch will drag if not driver regularly. If so I just bleed it and its back to normal
This van has a 10' paint job "looks great from 10' " but on closer inspection it has chips, bubbles and other imperfections
I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but you get the idea
The buyer should to expect to do some wiring, some mechanical work, and assorted work that a older vehicle that has had a motor swap in it's past
I WANT TO BE UP FRONT, THE VAN HAS MADE A PEDESTRIAN OF ME ON OCCASION, a added side benefit of driving a custom vehicle
I'VE TRIED TO MENTION ALL THE ISSUES, BUT IN THE END THIS IS A ONE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO BUY A RARE VEHICLE THAT'S THAT MORE BY THE OVERALL CONDITION
I encourage any potential buyer to come out and inspect it in person

I have gotten a number of questions so 'll try and answer them here.
First my reserve, while I don't have plans to disclose my reserve, I'll say this, it's around what you would expect to pay for a fair/ good condition 69 van with clear title.
Second Yes it has reverse, and reverse has worked in the past "currently not working" the reverse is a motorcycle starter moter and it was removed when I had the gear ratio changed and was left unhooked by the mechanic
Third Yes it's the van that was featured on "My Classic Car" at the Ace Cafe in Orlando last year. That's me Dennis is interviewing https://youtu.be/rmEPz_i-edY
Keep the questions coming I'm happy to talk about the van.
THE VAN NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP WITHIN 10 DAYS FROM THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION. PLEASE HAVE FUNDS AVAILABLE IF YOU BID.
