1988 Subaru Other Additional Info:

I am selling my baby. I have been slowly restoring it over the past 3 years. This 1988 Subaru XT6 has is nearly brand new under the sheet metal.
The engine is entirely rebuilt. The Transmission is entirely rebuilt.
New (all with less than 400 miles on them):pistons, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, spark plugs, spark cables, distributor, rotor,HLAs (these were the biggest bitch ever, be glad I spared you from this),battery, head gaskets (all gaskets, actually)rear brakes, rear shocks, radiator, clutch, headers (well, rebuilt),axles and boots,DVD Android Navigation system,Pioneer Speakers... I am probably forgetting a few things.
There is over $10,000 in parts and labor making this baby drive fast and smooth!
I have plenty of extra parts as well, including some cosmetic pieces like an ultra impossible to find OEM steering column cover, and new front shocks and brakes that I have yet to install. Lots of redundant spares in several boxes come with this car.
What it needs: Paint and body, and probably a new thermostat. I have yet to put a new one in and sometimes the fan just likes to run after shutting the car off. The body has some door dings and one little crumple on the driver's side front fender (image included). The pain is garbage and the clear coat is disintegrating.
Like anyone selling a car like this, circumstances beyond my control are forcing me to sell. I spent years getting this car dialed in, and now have to move to a place where I no longer have a garage. My heart hurts.
My loss is your $10,000 in parts and labor gain! Buy the car from me and tell everyone you did the work!
This '80s space car is a dream to drive. The pistol grip shift is so fun to throw around. It has amazing get up and go for a car of this era and is dominant in the mud or snow. No one knows what this car is and people are always asking about it (even though it is rough around the edges); it gets noticed!
I did the majority of the hard work, it is your turn to reap all the glory. Pull the itty bitty dents, get it painted and look cool!
