1961 Studebaker Lark Additional Info:

Now at age 76, after many years of restoring and driving old race cars, we have sold two of our shop buildings, and many of our cars, and I am being encouraged to sell most of my cars, and huge stock of Vintage parts.

this listing may be ended at any time (unless bids have been placed).

If you are interested in an early Vee-Eight Lark project that can be driven, this is a nice 1961 Lark V8 3 speed runner that has been stored inside in Tennessee for 50 or more years. It was repainted several years ago, while it was an occasional driver for many, many years..

Driven about 300 miles in 2017, this Southern Lark has just gotten a new clutch assembly, and a remanufactured carb, and the engine runs strong with no unusual noises or smoke. It needs a bit more TLC.

It is listed here with No Reserve

so that we can fund our 1960 holman - moody Lark race car (tribute)

The body is very straight. The paint presents well, with a few blemishes. Almost rust free, this is a typical Southern car that is 60 years old. I have tried to show the few minor areas of interest. The front passenger floor has a small area that was fiberglassed, and the drivers front floor has a larger area that was patched the same way. The rockers are solid, only a few small spots of paint bubbling. Fender lips are solid, and the trunk only has a hole the size of a dime.

The interior has the original seats that are in need of re-upholstering (the front has a slip cover, and the headliner has a couple of small holes and needs a bit of attention. Of course, if you upholster the seats and door panels, you will want to replace the headliner as well.

The windshield, rear window, and side glass are all good, although there is a scratched area on the drivers door glass. The windows roll up and down.

Tire are very good, and appear to have been replaced before we got the car. Steering is good, the brakes work but pull to one side, and we have not looked into them at this point.

I have many more pictures than ebay will allow me .
