1958 Studebaker Golden Hawk Additional Info:

This 1958 Golden Hawk is up for parts or a project. It has rust but is still a candidate for restoration. The bad: The front fenders are rusty. The front floor boards are rusted out as are the rocker panels and a support piece for the A pillars. Also, strangely the upper area of the trunk has rust holes. Trunk lid is dented and the PS fin. The good: the trunk corners and rear floor areas are good. The A pillars appear very good and the doors are not sagging. The doors are not rusted out. The back quarter panels are repairable and the inner body behind is not rusted. The hog troughs are in pretty good condition with the passenger side needing a small repair. The hood is in excellent condition. The engine which is probably the original (PS5840) is running with excellent compression 1 through 8 are 140,140,140,138,135,135,140,145 psi, does not smoke and holds excellent oil pressure 30 +psi at hot idle. The original water cooled flightomatic transmission is working although I only drove it about a block. Solid feeling with no slipping. The original radiator with oil cooler is included but needs repair. Aluminum one is installed. The differential is a TT twin traction model. This car has EVERY part necessary for the Super Charger, including a core VS57 McCulloch supercharger, bonnet, correct fuel pump, etc. and an air cleaner which can be modified to duplicate the original style. I installed a new master cylinder and front wheel cylinders so it can be stopped. Vin is 6104803. I have a clear South Dakota title. Only 878 of these made. Front DS tire will hold air for a couple weeks. I have more pictures. Call 605-280-2582 or email. It can be driven on transport & I can help. I also have a contact for a repair panel for the trunk area. Other panels are available from Classic Enterprises. Thanks for looking.
