1955 Studebaker Commander Deluxe Additional Info:

Here is a car that you don't see many of everyday, a 1955 Studebaker Commander 2-door sedan with V-8 Power. This car was frame-off restored by the original owner and was purchased from that owners family just a couple of months ago. The car is in fantastic condition! Restored in it's original colors along with a very rare model specific sun visor.
The initial purchase was made in Hanover, PA in late 1954. The car was driven 112,000 miles by 1971, then it was stored away for the next 27 years. After the long storage, the car was restored to the gem you see here. Check out the chrome grille and various stainless pieces. Everything is original to the car and all was refurbished during the restoration. The owner also kept a log of work and parts installed over the years. A small album of photos during the restoration will go with the car in addition to several Studebaker service manuals.
The same can be said for the engine, transmission etc. In fact, all of the major components are the factory originals....and it still has the 6-volt positive ground electrical system. Check out the photos! This car is one in a million and fortunately, that first owner took a lot of pride in his car and he left it in better condition than when he made the purchase way back in 1954.
So, If your a fan of Studebaker's, this is a car that you should consider. It has spent it's entire life in and around Hanover, PA and it was very difficult for the family to part with a car that meant so much to the owner. The car is currently located in Manchester, MD 21102. Inspections can be made and all questions answeredwithin 24 hours. Thanks for your interest.
