The Shelby Cobra 427 is arguably one of the world's most famous and recognizable sports cars in history. Between 1965 and 1967, only few hundreds the original Cobra CSX 3000 series were produced (343 427s).
Like her older sister, the Cobra CSX 4000 series was a limited production car by Shelby Automobile Inc., and it’s everything the 1965 models were, and more.

The authenticity of each vehicle is documented by Shelby CSX numbers and a manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO). Improvements include a stronger steel frame and better alloys used in the components, plus better cooling and additional heat shielding to make these cars safer and more drivable without losing any of their original character.

With 0-60 MPH under four seconds, and 12-second quarter mile performance, you'll know exactly what it's like to drive a true American legend.

This Shelby CSX4000 series roadster is finished in Black Diamond (stripes deleted) over Black Leather interior. It was built in March 2005, and the final assembly was performed by ZAAPS, Inc. in North Carolina (engine, transmission, headers installation).

It has a high strength fiberglass body and is equipped with four wheel independent suspension with dual A-Arms and coil-over shocks, Shelby aluminum Salisbury limited slip differential with Dana 44 gears, 3.54 to 1 ratio, rack and pinion steering, Baer brakes, and 15-inch Trigo pin drive wheels mounted with GoodYear Billboard tires.

A 427 FE side oiler Shelby aluminum block, built by Keith Craft, was installed in the car and it is stamped 4813 (matching serial number of the car). Stroked to 482 CI, it develops 628 HP, 626 FT/LBS of torque.

The engine is pretty faithful to the original look with its turkey pan, expansion FE tank, Shelby valve covers, intake, headers and polished side pipes. The engine is cooled by a 4-core aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The Holley 850 cfm in “classic gold” is fed by 2 electric fuel pumps from a 23 gallon fuel cell.

The dashboard follows the S/C layout with Shelby signature series gauges, Lucas toggle switches and a splendid hand signed Carroll Shelby autograph.

A 15” original style wood rim steering wheel, windshield wipers, heater / defroster, ashtray, wind wings and sun visors, chrome driver roll bar, dash-mounted mirror and side view mirrors, 2-point Simpson lap belts, adjustable premium black leather seats, door map pockets and Shelby Cobra floor mats complete the cockpit of the car.

Overall condition of this vehicle is excellent. The exterior shows no imperfections aside from few typical minor rock chips (pinhead size) on the front of the rear fenders by the doors.

The interior is in great shape and shows no use, all gauges and accessories are in working order. Recent Service Performed by V’S Performance in Orange, California includes: New alternator, 2 new batteries, new slave cylinder, oil change and tune-up.
The car is sold with set of Keys, documentation, car cover, factory photos, gaskets set, original brake vents, Lucas ventilation pull knobs, and a "surprise Gift package".
