..........................................................................................

You are bidding on a very rare 1970 Shelby GT500 Convertible.

This car was part of the private Shelby collection of the late Bob Kayser. We are helping to sell the collection. This car is rare in itself with only about 335 ragtops built by Shelby and maybe 90 in 70, but when you add in the original color was the super rare Grabber yellow (or racing yellow as some call it), there were only 7 built in this color.

Somewhere in time it was painted red and the paint is still very presentable .Top is original white color but has plastic window rather than glass. All glass is Carlite.

Very nice optioned car with:

-Traction Loc 3.50 differential

-C6 Cruse automatic

-Tinted Glass

-Tilt away steering

-Competition (BIG BEARING - BIG SPINDLE) suspension

-Dealer air conditioning.

The car has had some sheet metal replaced on the bottom side. It was sold new at Minar Ford in Minnesota and was used as a publicity pace car at Brainerd International Raceway (see original 60s Photo in yellow! Car was recently taken out of storage and sent to Norwest automotive for a good cleanup and service. It recieved a new Gas Tank, sender, oil change plugs wires, carb gasket, new heater core. The Ac blows but is not cold. Radiator and cooling flushed, brakes flushed and bled. Pads and shoes, rotorsturned. This car is ready to enjoy and drive!

Check out the pics and if you have any questions send us a note. If you want to talk to a person give John a call 770 -891-9308. A red car like this with color change from white sold at Barrett Jackson for $750,000 a few years ago. That car was Caroll Shelby’s and we at Shelby Parts and Restoration did the car. This car’s reserve is in line with NADA known sale prices the last 6 months. I've seen total apart restoration project go for 6 figures and take 3 years to restore. This car is one you can get in and drive and enjoy right now.
