Here is a unique car built in the style of a 1927 Landaulette with manyvintage parts. I have included one picture of an original Landaulette to give some idea of how successful it is. Given eachbody was tailor made on the manufacturerschassis and drivetrain in this period, I think it is remarkably good.I particularly like the fact that the auto gearbox lever is one of the vintage levers on the outside of the body to the right of the driver. (The other lever is the hand-brake.) Idislike the giveaway modern auto levers in the middle of the car on vintage replicas.
The chassis on this car is a 1927 Chevrolet. The mechanical parts are Ford Transit, including disc brakesand parts for these are readily available. For example, I took a front disc brake caliper off this week to refurbish it and when I went to the motor factor for a kit they had a reasonably priced new caliper on the shelf, so I bought it! All-In-All -The car is really very convincing because many original vintage parts have been used,plus a gold plated radiatormascot and nice radiator.
The car is running and driving and I would encourage viewing.
She is available for viewing during the auction but the winner will not be able to collect until after July 19th.
I'm advertising this on Ebay.com because the current economic crisis in the UK means our currency is at a ridiculous and unrepeatable low. As such, it is an opportunity for an overseas buyer to bag a bargain due to unusual market conditions.
