1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith ll - Fuel Injected Additional Info:

This is a rare and unique 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith ll. Rare in that it is a fuel-injected California car and has full leather interior including headliner. Unique in that it has been upgraded with the following: custom center console, sound system, paging alarm system, electronic speed control, Fahrenheit temperature gauge, Nardi steering wheel, hydraulic charging system, and much more. RR foot rests, plush lambs-wool carpets, and special tools come with the car.
This is a two owner car with service records dating back to its original factory sale. In 1986 out of curiosity, I purchased this car. I just wanted to know what makes a Rolls Royce so special. Joined the Rolls Royce Owners' Club where this car won its share of concours events.
The Silver Wraith series has an extra long wheel base to accommodate either an owner-driver or chauffeur-driver configuration. My car is owner-driver.
Over time I became less enthusiastic about keeping the car in pristine concours condition. Wanted to drive it more and not have to frequently clean the engine compartment with a toothbrush! Enjoyed the Rolls as a "driver" for years while continuing to maintain it. I have invested over $20,000 in parts and service. Even though the car was always garaged, several decades of exposure to the southern California sun have taken their toll on paint.
Now it is time to move it out of the garage and replace it with the Delorean on which I am working. This car easily passes California smog testing. The Bosch K Jetronic fuel injection system is a wonder. You may notice the VIN number looks odd; uniform VINs were not issued until 1981. Note, vehicle history reports such as Carfax and AutoCheck are not available for vehicles manufactured prior to 1981.
I am asking a very low price because the car could use new paint and is no longer in pristine condition. If you want concurs condition, be prepared to add at least $20,000 to the purchase price. In today's dollars, this car originally costs well over $300,000.
Be the first on your block to own a Rolls. If at all possible, come out to see the car and I will go over it in detail with you. Call me at 805-633-8130 to ask questions and/or arrange a pre-sale inspection. This car is sold AS-IS with no warranty.
