There's just something about a Guards Red Porsche. A Guards Red Porsche convertible is another story - open air motoring in a car with such an iconic shape, wind in your hair, the flat-6 humming behind you. Sounds like a nice proposition. This particular 911 Cabriolet also offers Porsche's state of the art (at the time) Tiptronic transmission which allows drivers to shift through the gears on their own, or put it in drive and go. Perfect for cruising on a nice day with the top down.
This car is a one owner car, which after approximately 30 years, the long term owner has decided to move on. This well cared for, and handsome 911 Cab is ready for a new home. The exterior has been left just as it was from the factory, with 16" 'Clubsport' wheels remaining on the car. The exterior paint is in overall great condition with some forward-facing surfaces (notably the front bumper cover and mirror caps) light wear. Headlight lenses, fog light lenses, glass, and rear lenses all show well.
Inside, the familiar design of the seats and dashboard is pleasing to the eye and is comfortable. Black leather seats show only minor wear consistent with age and use, but there are no tears or rips. Rear seats appear as-new. Embroidered Porsche-logo floor mats are in place over the original carpeting. The dash shows no cracking or sun damage, and the classic 911 instrument-cluster shows no fading and the glass is clear. The audio head unit has been upgraded with an aftermarket unit Pioneer unit, Pioneer speakers have been added, all of which is backed up with a professionally installed Eclipse amplifier located in the car's "frunk."
Under the rear decklid, the 247-horsepower 3.6-liter flat-six boxer engine and associated components all appear complete and unmodified. This Stuttgart icon is ready for a new home. Open air motoring, a flat-6 under the rear decklid, and the classic Guards Red paint make this 911 Cabrio a great candidate for space in your garage.
