[isdntekvideo] HISTORY OF THE CARThe ORIGINAL owner had the car re sprayed in its original color and rebuilt the engine back in the 80's, then unfortunately passed away.In 1990 his wife ordered an appraisal from KAVANAGH APPRAISAL SERVICE, the Appraisal is old and kind of hard to read so here's what it states:June 4th 1990. 1973 Porsche 911 Targa. VIN#9113111373Mileage; 28,129"Dear Mrs. GarbotWe have examined your vehicle for the purpose of establishing an A.C.V (actual cash value). This vehicle is equipped with a rebuilt 2.7 litre engine. It has a standard 5 speed transmission, both transmission and engine are operating efficiently. The exterior of the vehicle is in good condition, the car was re-sprayed and totally reconditioned eight years ago,, Allchrome showing no signs of rust,,(see appraisal in pics)"
I bought the car in December 2015 after it was sitting in the original owners wife's enclosed garage for about 30 years.Major Services:December 2015 @ 28,367 Miles: I had the car shipped directly to TLG Porsche Service in northHollywoodwere it was gone through and brought back to life, drained old gas, replace all fuel lines, remove and rebuild fuel injection pump, fuel accumulator and filter. Replaced air box and installed pop-valve. Replaced front and rear break hoses, break lines, master cylinder and flush break hydraulics and much more (see service records).
June 2017 @ 28,789 miles: had the Suspension gone through, new Bilstein HD shocks, new SS heat exchangers, sport muffler, bushings, corner balanced alignment, new windshield seal,, and much more ( see service records)
The interior is ALL ORIGINAL and in surprisingly good condition, Dash is Perfect, Blaupunkt Cassette Radio for that retro soun, ,;)All Gauges work perfectly, I had the original front seats recovered with hounds tooth inserts, restored the targa top, restored all 5 Fuchs flat sixes by Al Reed polishing, brand new tires, New set of Coco mats and installed a beautifully restored wood steering wheel.
Please note, car comes with its original steering wheel, Wood steering wheel is not a part of this sale!Today this Targa is a wonderfully maintained example that currently displays 30,571 miles on the odometer,She'sa pure joy to ride, not a garage queen, she wants the open road. HISTORY OF THE 1973 1/2 PORSCHE 911TLate into the 1973 model production year, Porsche began installing Bosch’s new CIS fuel injection system in the 911. These models are referred to by Porsche enthusiasts as 1973 ½ models with the 1973½ 911T becoming the most desirable T variant in recent years. When fitted with CIS Injection, the 2.4 liter engine developed a healthy 140hp and provided a smooth and reliable driving experience. With this level of performance and style accented by the longhood, small bumper design (which would disappear by the end of 1973 production) it is no wonder why the 1973½ 911T models have become highly sought-after by collectors and enthusiasts today.
