1971 Porsche 911 T Additional Info:

Gorgeous Conda Green Porsche 911T. This vehicle has had the same female owner since 1976. Purchased from Neufeld Porsche here in Burlingame before it became Rector Porsche. Has been a local car its entire life. Heres the scoop on this car. I got a call from an old business associate one day who asked me if I would be able to help get his wife's car up and running so they could sell it as they were moving and no longer had the space or the ability to work on it.To my surprise the vehicle they were referring to was this beautiful numbers matching Conda green 1971 Porsche 911 T. I could not resist so I made him an offer and purchased the vehicle instead. The Car had been sitting since 1993 when the right front caliper was removed for reasons they could not remember. Upon taking the vehicle into my possession I first addressed the brake issues by rebuilding all 4 calipers, replacing all four pads, rotors, rubber brake hoses, and the master cylinder (was leaking). I then moved on to getting the vehicle running. The car is said to have about 20-30k miles on it since being rebuilt using 911S pistons and sleeves, the cam was ground to 911E specs by Elgin cams in Redwood City CA, and the Carburetor was replaced with Weber 40 IDA carbs (original Zenith carbs also included). I replaced the fuel pump with a factory unit, and replaced all rubber fuel hoses. The carbs were also disassembled and thoroughly cleaned. The cap, rotor, points, and spark plugs have also been replaced. It has 2 brand new batteries in the correct size (expensive and hard to find). The car fired right up and runs and drives absolutely amazingly. Other items that have been replaced since being in my possession are, all 3 shifter bushings, engine oil, transmission oil, fuel filter, all 4 tires are period correct and brand new. I have put about 2000 miles on the car since it has been back on the road it has been smooth, reliable, and an absolute pleasure to drive. Upon reinspection while taking undercarriage photos there are 2 items that should be addressed sometime in the near future if you plan on driving this thing daily. 1 the shifter rod seal is leaking ($5 part and fairly easy to install), 2. L side CV boot is torn (also fairly easy to replace) Both items can be negotiated into the sale price. The majority of the fluid you see on the underside of the vehicle is due to these 2 items. Please keep in mind that this car has sat the last 25 years so there will be rubber seals gaskets etc. that may need to be replaced in the future. I took this car on a 10 hour plus trip over Fourth of July weekend and have been driving it regularly with zero issues whatsoever besides the two items I just stated. I then moved on to the interior as it needed some attention. It has a brand new carpet kit and I installed some Corbeau GTA low back seats (original seats also included with sale). The factory seat belts were still retained. The rear seat is still the original upholstery, the bottoms are in excellent shape but the tops do have a couple small holes on the backside. I do have brand new carpet for the rear seats that is not yet installed. The dash is cracked but has a dash cap on it and does the job for now. All lights, heater, turn signals work with the exception of the horn. This is a easy restoration candidate or you can drive it as is. The vehicle is extremely dry, rust and corrosion free. (please see undercarriage and floor pan videos) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuO3Yqt9wdE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZtoV3xw-AM There are 3 tiny spots of surface rust near the window as noted in the pictures (this is the only rust on the vehicle) The underside of the vehicle is in exceptional shape no rust in the battery box and no rust or corrosion anywhere on the underside. The finish on the pan which covers the master cylinder needs to be redone as the leaking fluid ate away at it. All in all this car is extremely solid would not even need a full restoration just a freshening up. Paint looks good from about 5 feet away but it is nowhere near being perfect, the roof is oxidized and the hood has plenty of paint chips. It has had 2 repaints in it’s life. The first repaint was in a darker green because she did not like the color, then she decided to have it repainted back to its original color. All lines and gaps are perfect. Car is available for inspection at any facility of your choice (within reasonable distance) It is also available for viewing in San Jose CA. Still has original "pink slip" and Blue California plates. 167k miles shown on the odometer, but although the speedometer functions the odometer currently does not. All other gauges function properly with the exception of the clock. California residents must pay tax ad license as I am a dealer. I have tried to be as detailed as possible with pictures and info, but if there is any additional pics or info you need, please feel free to contact me @ (650)580-4567 Can assist with transportation anywhere in the world. Also included with the sale are 1. Original front seats (need reupholstering) 2. Original Zenith Carburetors 3. Original Porsche Leather Bra 4. Car cover 5. Brand new OEM window seal (came with car) 6. Original package Shelf (in horrible condition but maybe fixable?)
