1985 Porsche 944 Late Model Additional Info:

1985.5 Porsche 944
Manual Shift - Guards Red with black leather interior
I've provided a very detailed condition report and pictures for serious buyers.
Body in very nice shape - no dents. Very good interior - no rips.
Runs great. All major mechanical work is up-to-date.
Completely standard and unmodified, except Alpine stereo system and speakers.
Note that I purchased it used in 2012 - the odometer already stopped at 77,000 miles. Based on service records and documented use, the mileage is estimated at 100,000. Otherwise, no accidents or issues in the CARFAX report.
Please contact me for any questions, more pictures, CARFAX report, or to arrange a viewing and test drive. Complete details follow:
The body is straight and free of corrosion, with the original Guards Red paint in good condition, showing only a few very minor chips and oxidation that are consistent with a cherished original car. The hood, doors and hatch fit properly. Exterior trim is in good order. Some dummy backed into the rear bumper and drove off - the scratch should be a minimal job to correct (shown in last picture). Original Phone Dial alloy wheels wrapped in excellent Bridgestone tires with plenty of tread life.
Mechanically, this 944 is completely standard and unmodified. After purchase, it was thoroughly commissioned by a Porsche expert mechanic with a new timing belt, balance shaft belts, drive belts, water pump, fuel pump, A/C compressor, K&N air filter, assorted gaskets and hoses. Of course, full documentation of the work performed is included. It runs and drives beautifully, feeling very fresh, tight and balanced as one would expect from an original 944. An inspection in October showed good clutch, transmission and brakes. However, the engine and rear differential mounts need to be replaced (causes vibration and rattle in low gears).
Inside, black leather upholstery has no rips, tears and only expected wear. Carpets, door panels and headlining are very good. A few small cracks in the dashboard (as pictured). The heat and air works along with all other accessories except horn.
The original bag for the removable sunroof panel is included and the trunk includes the complete original tool kit. Also all keys and books are included, along with a couple spare parts pictured.
Since I was a teen, I wanted to own a 944. This car has treated me well for over 5 years and now I am ready to trade up to a newer model BMW. She will provide many more years of fun and style for you.
