1978 Porsche 911 Targa Additional Info:

Let me start by saying my car can be easily returned to original stock condition and none of the modifications are structural (or permanent). Only mods to the chassis are the holes drilled for the BOLT IN roll cage which could be filled if cage was removed. All work performed was done by a professional.
This is my 1978 Porsche 911 sc Targa which has been in our family for the last 22+ years. The car is in EXCELLENT condition and has NEVER seen snow and hardly even rain. The car was repainted about 28 years ago and shines like new. It was a very high end paint job and cost over $8000 back then.
Over the years, some tastful modifications were done to the car including adjustable Bilsteins on all 4 corners, torsion bars, lowered slightly, adjustable strut tower bar, 944 turbo brakes, Recaro seats, 5 pt harnesses, and a bolt in roll cage. The original seat belts are still in the car and functional for daily driving. The cage is a true bolt in and no dash board or floor modifications were performed. The dashboard is original and has zero cracks. The original radio is in the car but not currently working. The car will come with original spare tire, tool kit, and trunk carpet. It will also come with the stock engine mounts and a pile of other parts. It has 4 new Toyo Proxes installed last year and have roughly 120 miles on them.
The car is equipped with a light-weight, all aluminum, fuel injected LS1 Chevy V8 built and tuned to about 500hp and is totally turn key. The LS1 weighs the same as the dressed 911 engine did. About 5 years ago, the porsche engine was removed and the LS1 swap began. The project took about 6 months and the outcome is FANTASTIC. The LS block came from a 1999 ws6 trans-am. The engine was torn down, cylinders resurfaced, brand new crankshaft, all new bearings, new pistons, heads rebuilt and machined, high performance camshaft installed, LS6 intake manifold, and the ecm tuned for the build. The stock manifolds were flipped and is true dual exhaust with twin thrush mufflers (not very loud). The car still has the 915 trans-axle which was also overhauled and a helical limited slip differential installed. All of the porsche factory gauges are running from the LS engine. The car puts all 500 neck breaking horse power to the ground with no tire slip at all. Most of the parts for the swap were sourced from Renegade Hybrids who specializes in LS1 swapping porsche's of all makes and models. Their components are top quality and their customer service is fantastic shall the next owner have any questions.
Overall, it is fair to say this car makes a great daily driver or an awesome track car (or restore to original). The car is extremely fast and could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
The main reason I decided to sell the car is that I don't have the time to drive it. At most, it is driven several hundred miles a year. I do start it and drive it down the road regularly so it's not just sitting.
The car is being sold as is, where is so please don't hesitate to call or message me with any questions before bidding 585-748-8655 . My reserve is very reasonable.
