1959 Porsche 356 stock Additional Info:

This highly unusual 356 A was owned by a California Librarian formost of it's life and was in storage for past several year, I fell in lovewith" Patina look " the car was in incredible original conditio, original floor boards and battery bo, it had some primer on thin spots on paint work so I stripped it down to bare meta, repainted it in Light Ivory then reapplied faux rust to the near perfect bod, then clear coated the entire body in flat clear . I put in all new exterior rubber seal, replaced cracked windshiel, treated all the pans with POR 1, dyna mat and put originalthreadbare carpet back i, dash and steering wheel are as original . I powder coated wheels then reapplied faux rus, replaced all the aluminum tri, used all the original chrome to preserve the barn look . This car at the SVRA race at Watkins Glen was photographed by over 2,000 people in 4 days and was picked as most "popular car " out of 3500 cars on display . Was alsofined by three production companies and was surrounded by "fans" for 4 days .It had met with similar accolades at othervenues .I have several restored concours 356's and 911's and this by far gets the most attentio, I will grant it is not for everyone .It has high baroverriders and steel bumpers
Mechanically I completely rebuilt every thing and I mean everythin, the engine is an overbore build by 901 shop to 2 liters with 40MM webers and stock appearing air cleaners at a cost of over 20K but worth every penny  , incredible power, torque and so smoot, has about 4K on i, gear box has about 1500 miles on i, car has CSP german widepattern disc brakes on fron, drums on rea, all new suspension, bushings, shock, motor mount, handles like few 356', fas, tight and a rear sleeper . Will cruise all day at 75 MPH PLU, all gauges converted to 12 V LED by Palo Alto including a 904 style multi gauge . I replaced headliner when I put in new seals and window trim . Has a stock appearing Leonard Turnboghalternator that looks like a original generator .
I am selling to fund my next 356 outlaw and my 911 powered single cab truc, I have invested heavily in this car and no short cuts to preserve the "barn find " look while making it the best running handling 356 .I love it but I don't need 4 356's and new one is wildest yet .This car is loaded with original brochures, very rareliterature, receipt, from prior owne, tool kit, jack et, also has blue tooth hidden from sight
