Up for auction is a frame off restored 1977 Pontiac Trans AM 6.6L with a 4-speed manual transmission. I recently purchased this car out of Alabama from a guy who spent 12 years restoring this T/A. This car was completely disassembled and put back together. In 2015 a brand new 6.6L Crate engine (YA SUFFIX) was installed. It has just under 700 miles on the restoration. The 6.6 has a mild cam, ported and polished intake, 650CFM Holley carburetor, and a rebuilt super T-10 manual transmission. Backing the engine and transmission is a 4.10 post rearend. This car was featured in a Jasper calendar in 2015

The engine is exhausted through ceramic coated headers into 3” mandrel bent stainless steel PYPES exhaust system with an X pipe and correct T/A splitter tips. The entire undercarriage was bead blasted and was coated with POR 15 in chassis black. The 15” X 8” Snowflakes were professionally restored and they look great and are wrapped with 275 X 60 X15 BFG’s. The interior is like new with redone upholstery on a deluxe interior. The carpeting, dash, door panels, headliner, upholstery are all new. The gauges are aftermarket Phantom gauges with LED indicator lights. The odometer is digital.

This car has a very nice finish, very straight and solid car. On the passenger side there is a very faint blemish which is VERY hard to see where the original 1/4 panel is leaded on; its a little imperfect there but again very difficult to see. The doors shut nice, no sagging in door pins. The windows are electric and are operational but are a little slower than usual. The radio is not hooked up and is just set in place. The interior lights are also disconnected.

The engine compartment is what you would see from an original T/A with factory air, power steering, and power front disc brakes. The compressor/clutch are free but the system is NOT charged. It will require some work to get it to start functioning again. The A/C hoses that mount to the compressor are brand new. The car runs and drives nice. It really looks good with the white on tan colors with gold bird/stripes.
