This Tempest is a one-family-owned car that was purchased from an estate.I bought it from the woman whowas the grand-daughter of the original owner. So first,it was the grandmother's car, who bought it new. Then it went to her son. Finally, it went to his daughter, who was the last owner. She just had no use for it.The title last changed hands in 1993 (grandmother to son) at which point, there was 60K miles on it. (see Photobucket pics, white copy of title). In the following 18 years, only 15,000 more miles were put on it. Thelast 16 miles were put on it by me, just driving it a couple of times locally. Here is what I know about the car. At some point, during those 18 years, the interior was mostly restored. The car was also completely repainted. I don't know if this is the original color. It has not been driven at all in the last 5 years, other than the 16 miles I drove. The body is solid from front to back and the underside is in good shape, as you can see in the pictures. The interior itself is in excellent condition. It has an “analog-to-digital” stereo in it that is working. It’s basically a digital radio that is made to look like the original factory radio, but obviously better quality. All of the windows work properly. Mechanically, the brakes are OK and the tires are in decent shape. It appears to have a newer muffler on it, as well. The lights, wipers, etc., all work, however, itis recommended that, if the car is going to be driven often, it should begone overto make sure all is well with it. The car starts and runs and the transmission shifts like it should. Like I said, it is drivable. We ask that all interested bidders come out, see it, and take it for a test drive. Just give us a call to set up an appointment!
