1979 Pontiac Firebird Formula. Honest 19,000 Original Mile Example in Great Condition. No Rust or Collision damage. Original Paint, GM Metal, Original Decals, and all Original Interior. White with Immaculate Blue Interior. Original 403 with Automatic. Factory AC, PS,PB, AM/FM/8Track, PW. Optioned same as TransAMs were. Engine compartment and underside are clean and detailed, and inside the trunk is the original space saver spare, jack, tool, and carpeted mat.Paint has some mild patina in a few spots due to age but nothing to be alarmed about, just a few tiny hairline cracks in the factory lacquer. A true five footer. Has won a few trophies at local shows. Like a lot of guys have told me, they are only original once, don't repaint it. This car would be the ideal candidate to be taken to the next level without the huge expense of body and patch work, or just left and enjoyed as-is.
PHS docs and build sheet. Some misc small spare parts go with car. Lots of these late Formulas had a 301 in them, this one has the big 403 motor with a mild build. Edelbrock intake, ceramic coated headers, and mild Edelbrock cam to wake up the late 70s emissions era 403 a bit, but will also run great on mid octane pump gas. Original parts go with car if wanted. LA built car. Sold new in CA and brought to PA from west coast in 2014. Underneath is solid and black from being ziebarted by dealer back in the day. Hints of body color show thru in some spots where the ziebart spray was finer. Reliable, always starts and drives excellent.
