1964 Pontiac GTO Additional Info:

Red on black, PHS documented, GTO convertible, big block V8 (389 tri-power), 4 speed manual transmission, bucket seats, great sounding dual exhaust system and to top it off, it could be a real Royal Bobcat. It’s hard to beat that combination of attributes when looking for a great investment grade muscle car, especially when considering the fact that GTOs are among the ranks of vehicles that serious muscle car collectors must have in their collections.

This particular GTO would hold its own at most car shows due to its very good overall condition. The even better news is that you could drive it across the country to your favorite show if you want to as it has no known mechanical issues. Please see the Condition Report section below for more details.

A little bit about me: I was born with what I call the car bug (ingrained love for cool vehicles), have owned and sold hundreds of collectible vehicles, founded/ran a large classic/exotic car dealership/restoration facility for years and found/finished (with the help of my team) and sold the only Tucker Convertible on the planet. I’m selling this car for a friend of mine.

Condition Report

Scale: 1-10, 1 is concours perfect and 10 needs a lot of attention.

Exterior

3.5- Some very small cracks/slight bubbling and a couple chips in the paint. The gaps aren’t perfect. Trim: 3- original chrome all around, some minor pitting.

Interior

2- excellent, all original bright work but showing a little fading. Gauges - 2, fully functional, just normal fading due to age.

Mechanicals

1- runs strong, no known issues or leaks.

Engine Bay

1.5- near perfect, lots of attention to detail, it even has factory looking chalk markings on the firewall.

Undercarriage

2- very good shape.

Wheels/Tires

1- Hurst rims are in excellent condition and no issues with the tires.

Glass

3- no chips, just 50 years of normal wear/scratches here and there.

As you probably know, the 1964 GTO is believed by most car enthusiasts to be the first muscle car. And again, you can’t beat this combination of attributes. Don’t miss out on this real deal PHS documented ‘64 GTO!
