Thank you for looking at my auction, this is one of the mostrare and desirable Trans Am ever built. Itis a true 1979 SE with a W72 package 400 4 speed, they only produced 1,107 of these cars making this a very rare and specialvehicle. Ibought the car from the second owner, the original owner bought the car in January 1979 for $9,531, he was very meticulous with the care of the car and only drove it in good weather. The car ended up sitting in his garage for 31 years until it wasbought by the second owner, i have almost every piece of paperwork from the day it was purchased including the dealer invoice, fuel economy rating, dealer prep papers, owners manual, and even the original window sticker. It is rare to see a car with this much documentation.
The drivetrain is it's numbers matching 400 PWH block with all it's originalcomponents and it's numbers matching super T10 4 speed transmission, both motor andtransmission have beenprofessionally rebuilt to it's original specs, the car runs, shifts and drives beautifully. It has it's factory exhaust except for the A/C Delco catalytic converter. Therear-end houses theoriginal 3:23 gearing and limited slip differential. This is a factory airconditioning and WS6 4 wheel disk brake car, all brake components and lines are new.
The body. This car sat indoors without use for 31 years so it escaped the ravish of time that most of these cars fellvictim to (no rust ever). The car was professionally re-painted it's original 19 starlight black, themetal on this car is near perfect and the paint work is outstanding with all new decals and pinstripping, also all new weather strippingexcept for the ones on the t-tops which were in great condition. The interior is it's original Camel Tan which isabsolutely beautiful with verylittle fading that this color issusceptible to because it sat inside for 31 years. Theonly thing that was changed was the headliner and the rug. All the gauges work perfectly it has it's original AM/FM radio, it is hard to find an original interior on a car this age with such pristine condition.
In all, this is a very rare and desirable collector car that is in beautiful condition and will only continue to go up in value, all inspections welcomed.
