1967 Pontiac Firebird Additional Info:

1967 Pontiac Firebird Convetible: Originally a GM white and Bright Blue Deluxe interior car with at 326 and manual transmission. Current condition is outlined below.
Mechanical: Brand new engiene build. Pontiac 350 bored .030 over. 092 casting heads from a 389 reduces the combusted chambers enough to give the Pontiac 350 about 9.5:1 compression ratio. The heads were machined to accept new stainless valves and modern seals. Also machined to accept the comp valve springs at the correct seat height to match the new comp XE 268 cam and lifters. Nice street friendly cam with a nice lope at idle. Scorpion roller rockers, hardened pushrods finish up the valve train. The engine breaths through ram air restoration long horn ram air headers and full 2.5 stainless crossover system from Ram Air. Look up this system, I have $1,600 in the exhaust alone. Fuel is managed by the MSD Atomic EFI system through Edlebrock RPM manifold. Spark by MSD 6AL box, wires and dizzy. Custom Butler engineering welded aluminum valve covers to allow for the new roller rockers. New aluminum 4 core radiator. Brand new Richmond ST10 4 speed trains mated to a new GM bell housing and Ram clutch, pressure plate and fly wheel. New Hurst shifter and linkage. Custom length driveshaft with 1310 joints. 8.2 BOP 10 bolts are not the strongest but this one was built right to make it as strong as possible. New Yukon post carrier, new 30 spine tremendously stronger Yukon axels. New Yukon 3.08 gears and rear cover girdle. All drivetrain components are brand new and have less than 3k miles run time on them.
Chassis: Installed a power steering system with stock style pump and new improved ratio box that is 3.5 turns lock to lock. All front suspension components were installed new when the drivetrain was upgraded. New ball joints, tie rods and adjusters front coil springs (-2") and shocks. Brand new 17" retro wheels and brand new BFG tires. These still have the nubs on them. Rear spring were changed from the mono leaf to the Detroit Speed multi leaf 2" lowering springs. All new stainless brake lines, new 9" power brake boaster, master cylinder and 4 wheel disc brake conversion.
Body:Body work and paint are older for the previous owner and restoration but here's what I can tell you. The car has had quarters, full truck and floors. Floors, truck and rockers are solid as a rock and have no rust issues. There is some small bubbling coming through on the lower front on the passenger side. Not bad but it is there. There is a bubble spot on the deck lid and there are scratches and chips on the car. An area under the front bumper has a scratch and surface rust has formed. Not really noticeable unless you bend over and look under the bumpers. There is also a scratch on the passenger door. Looks great from 10' but there are some imperfections as this was and still is a driver car. It is by not means bad but it is by no means a show quality paint. Top is in good shape but the rear seam needs to be stitched again. Interior is the original color deluxe bright blue and is in great shape and is original to the latest restoration about 10 years ago. There is a dynamat kit under the carpet which does help with heat and vibration more than you would think. Also has a retro sound steroid with iPod hookup.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. I built this car to keep it and don't want to sell it but I am forced to. I have $35k into this car and this is a great turnkey driver with EFI and all modern upgrades like 4 wheel disc brakes. You can drive the car anywhere. My loss is you gain. Selling no reserve and also selling locally. I reserve the right to end the auction whenever I see fit. Clear title in hand.
