The Good;The body is in great shape, still had factory paint with no body repairs.Frame is really nice.Car has never been wrecked or repaired. (It does have dings and rust)Has most all its original bright work. (Complete rocker chrome)Lots of extra partsWe do have the dash components (email for pics)Ram Air hoodRallie II rims (set of 4, not sure of the year)
The Bad;The glass was removed and the floors and trunk pan are rotted. (I can get glass)Missing the body by fisher cowl tag.The dash was rusted badly, we do have a donor dash that was out of an AC car.This will be repaired lightly and place into position.The rear end is out of the car. It was a chevy rear and we were hunting downa Pontiac rear, the Chevy rear will go back in to make it a roller.
The Story;The car was purchased as a builder for one of our clients for a daily driver.He neglected to tell his wife and now she wants their money back in their bank account.
We had already started some of the work, stripping the factory paint, sandblastinga few small parts and getting ready for the rear down.Now we have to cut the car loose as we have nobody to build it for.
Here's what we know about the GTO;
it was burgundy with a black interiorNon ACPower Steering4 Speed(Motor is a 1974 Pontiac 350 with 5C heads built 4-6-74)No idea if it runs - has an auto trans with it and Holley carb(No idea where any of the original drive train is)
Here's what's missing:Original drive trainInterior (seats, door panels, shifter, consol, etc)Rear bumperHeadlight bucketsRadioAll the glass (though if it sells I will purchase a parts car and supply the glass)RaidiatorBody by fisher cowl tag - (door tag is still attached to the car)4 speed pedals (though we did find some linkage)
