1969 Pontiac GTO Additional Info:
Numbers matching 400. As with any car you should have it inspected by a pro. Car is sold as is where is. Pontiac Historic Documents are available. Numbers matching 400. This car was restored 15 years ago and garage kept before and since. The sheet metal is great and none has been replaced. Motor was gone through at about 60,000 miles to change the heads to run on low octane fuel mild cam. Motor rebuilt complete by NASCAR Mechanic. Have original heads in great shape ready to run. It has 74,000 miles now. The owner was not a hot rodder. He just liked to be driven around in it. He was a quadriplegic. The car is all numbers matching. Color was changed. Have the Pontiac Historic documents. The original heads are in the trunk along with the stock manifold and carb. Also in the trunk, is a set of ready to go Ram Air III heads, a set of Ram Air III exhaust manifolds, and a Ram Air III intake manifold. The hood has Ram Air III capability. Which all boils down to: There are several ways you can go with the car.
1. Leave it as is. Runs perfect on 87 octane.
2. Put the stock heads, manifold, and carb back on and be all original except color numbers matching. Will double the power. It ain't no slouch now.
3. Put the Ram Air parts on and do a Ram Air III clone. All you would need is the air filter, Ram flaps, and controls, which sell in a complete set on eBay for $800 to $900 and a set of Ram Air III stickers. Which will double the power and value.
The car runs and drives like new and sounds great.
Also for sale locally. Could go any time.
