The history of this car

I bought this car in 2000 or 2001, can't remember which year it was. I bought it from a gentleman in Haymarket Virginia. He had purchased it from a guy who had fallen on some hard times. When I got it, it was in primer and pieces and it has been years getting it to where it is today. Is it a perfect car, no. But when it is done it will be a great driver for someone. I am no expert at car restoration and many things will have to be redone I'm sure but you can make it into your vision as I have tried to make it into mine.

Currently it is running incredibly rough but it will run. It is not drivable. The carburetor has just been rebuilt, it's not the problem. The turbo was checked out, not the problem. The catalytic converter is currently off to see if it was clogged, also not the problem. I do not know if the ac will work. Last time I tried the wipers they did work. Don't know if the cruise works, never tried it. Don't know if the rear defrost works, never tried it. All of the lights do work including the turbo lights and the turbo light panel is new. The dash is cracked and needs to be replaced. Also at this time the t-tops do leak. The car at this time is really dirty but does clean up nicely.

In the last 16 years this car has gotten maybe 300 miles on it.

To the very best of my knowledge it is numbers matching and is registered with the Pontiac Historical Society.

It has new tires, within the last year. New brake pads, but were installed years ago just not much use. There are many other new parts but they may have to be replaced just because of age. Lots of new screws, bulbs, etc.

The car was evidently hit at some point on the driver's side rear quarter by where the bumper attaches. I wasn't aware of this when it was painted and when I put the bumper back on I noticed the gap so that will need attention. Also there is a large scratch on the passenger door that happened at some point in transport or storage. All of the decals are new and installed be me years ago.

I have loved this car for the last 16 years and taken it as far as I could at the times and now it is time to let someone else give it a try.

I am happy to send any pictures needed and answer any questions that I can.

This car must be picked up, it is not driveable. It has tremendous potential for the right person.
