1970 Pontiac Le Mans Additional Info:

This 1970 LeMans Sport that I am selling is in amazing condition for the age of the car at 46 years old. This car would be the perfect car to do a T-37 clone or restore to original condition. This is a complete numbers matching car with the 350 V8 and the Turbo 350 transmission. The car has 106,000 original miles on it and as far as I know I am the 3rd owner of this car that has been in Colorado all of its life. The previous owner had the car sitting in his garage for almost 10 years and it was driven very little if at all. He purchased it for his daughter and she ended up not really wanting anything to do with it. He was a mechanic with a Pontiac Dealership in the 50's and 60's and he and his daughter rebuilt this engine about 90,000 miles. The car does need tuned a little bit but I have had the carb rebuilt and cleaned out the fuel tank and lines from sitting for so many years.

The car does not overheat like alot of old Pontiac Engines do, and it drives like a dream. It will hit 200 degrees and then the thermostat will kick in and it cools right down to around 180 degrees and it stays there all day long. This car also has brand new complete exhaust on it from front to back and has a beautiful deep throaty sound to it. It still had paper tags on the exhaust when I picked it up a couple of months ago. The interior is all original down to the carpet which only has a small hole in it on the drivers side. The floor and trunk pans are in very nice condition with no rust. The only rust is a couple of small areas around the back window (very minor), one quarter panel on the lower edge (which I have a patch panel for) and a tiny spot above the drivers side taillight. All of the wiring works and has never been hacked on. The only thing that the previous owner added was a newer stereo in the console lid and 6X9 speakers to the package tray area as he didn't want to hack us the dash area.

The pictures do not do this car any justice. This is a very nice car that my son and I were going to restore for him but we have found a different project that he wants to do. The other really cool thing on this car that the previous owner pointed out to me was that at the Pontiac Factory the assembly line placed a GTO Emblem on the passenger side door instead of a LeMans Emblem. I have always heard about things like this happening at the factory back in the day but have never witnessed it first hand. Please let me know if you would like any other pictures or have any other questions on this fabulous car!! This car would be a very easy restoration compared to the condition of most cars or you can just hop in it and enjoy driving it right away as a nice driver condition all original car. Thanks for looking.
