1971 Plymouth Barracuda Additional Info:

1971 Plymouth Cuda started life as a Barracuda Gran Coupe equipped with a 318 and now has a 360 engine and automatic transmission. Car is mechanically sound, runs and drives great, you could take it anywhere and my son and daughter both regularly drove it to high school last year. Car is very solid and spent most of its life in California and later Arizona. Excellent candidate for a show-n-shine car to have fun with, take on a full restoration, or go resto mod. This is a car you could easily drive and enjoy while working on it. Interior is all original with the leather insert bucket seats, overhead console, gauges, door panels, etc. Gauges and switches all work along with exterior and instrument lights. Someone previously added a small tachometer in the far right gauge opening where there is typically a blank plug or clock. A dash cap is installed over the original A/C dash. Air conditioning is intact and has never been charged since I have owned the car. Exterior has all original panels in great shape for an unrestored car with the exception of the hood and trunk lid which were added and have newer paint than the rest of the car but match up pretty well. With over 100K miles on the car, it has plenty of door dings and scratches as you would expect. Fenders and doors are solid with no rust and gills have been added to the original fenders. Even the lower door pinch welds are tight with no swelling and no rust swelling in the door jamb area either. Rear quarter panels have some rust behind the rear wheels and the right side trunk extension is rusted through. Both rear outer and inner wheel wells are absolutely solid. Trunk floor has the typical surface rust with no holes. There is a small rust hole in the dutchman panel (rear window filler) just below the trim. Engine compartment is solid and dry with some minor rust bubbling ahead of the hood hinges. Inner fenders around shock tower, cowl, and radiator apron are rust free. Cowl is solid with no rust in the pinch weld. All frame rails are rock solid. This is a very solid car that will need minimal metal work as part of any restoration. Bumpers and trim all appear to be nice original pieces. The grill has a small crack in the center near the top and is otherwise in great shape. A new windshield was installed in 2011. Engine appears to have been freshened when installed. It runs well, starts every time, and has a functional choke. Front suspension was completely rebuilt in 2012. Dual exhaust is run all the way out the back. Car has an 8-3/4 rear end. 15" BF Goodrich tires and torque thrust wheels are only a couple years old. Tire sizes are P235/60/R15 up front and P255/60/R15 in the rear. I have a clear Wyoming title in my name. VIN, fender tag, door sticker, and all body numbers match. I have a Ziploc baggie full of playing card and smaller sized pieces of a build sheet. I'd estimate half of it to be there. Please e-mail or call 208-290-3488 with any questions.
