1970 Plymouth Barracuda Additional Info:

1970 Cuda rolling chassis

I bought this years ago as a parts car. For a while I thought to restore the car but then got involved on other projects and lost interest. It has a title but I believe it may/will be difficult to have it transferred as the title was last transferred in the late 1970’s, is in very poor condition and has been filled out incorrectly on the back. It MAY or MAY NOT be possible to resolve the title issue I DO NOT KNOW.

This is a real Cuda and was a 340 with an automatic and A/C. Both the engine and transmission are long gone.I have a 318 out of a 1970 Cuda that I will include if the successful bidder wants it. I also have an auto trans that I am sure will need to be rebuilt.

The car is actually very solid. The floor in the drivers area is a little soft but could probably be used as is. The rest of the floor is rock solid. The trunk floor has been removed for replacement. The car has a trunk rack which is long gone and it appears water leaked inside and rusted out the floor. The frame rails are extremely solid and it comes with new replacement floor sections that are new but have light surface rust.

The cowl has the typical rust below the wiper motor, behind the power brake booster and at the base of the windshield. I have pieces of the cowl from other cars that can be used to piece in sections. Reproduction of the entire upper cowl is also now available.

There is minorbody damage to the drivers inner fender at the side of the radiator and where it attaches to the cowl. It is repairable and I have some used sections.

The left rear quarter has damage at the connection to the rear tail panel and just back of the door. Both are repairable. I have a section of the rear quarter where it attaches to the tail panel.

The car comes with two left and two right front fenders. They are rough but you may be able to salvage them.

It was a vinyl top car so there is some rust around the rear window and above the passenger door. All the areas are repairable.

I have tried to get the best photos I could but the car is hard to get around.

I have tried to describe all the parts that come with the rolling chassis. Some parts are bolted in place others are loose.

$300 non-refundable deposit is due by PayPal within 48 hours of the end of auction. Car must be paid in full and picked up within 10 working days of the end of auction.

Parts Included in auction:

Front fenders:

Two Right side fenders are included in the auction. Both are very solid withsome shallow dents. Both are very repairable.

Two Left fenders are included in the auction. They are not as solid as the right side and will need some rust repair and also have shallow dents. The fenders need work but are repairable.

Cowl:

Some localized rust thru at the base of the windshield. I have cut out the rust.

Radiator Support and Left Inner Fender

Sometime in the past the car apparently was in an minor accident that caused slight damage to the

radiator support, left inner fender and the connection to the cowl.

Roof:

Very solid with the exception of a small area above the rear window.

Trunk Channel:

Rusted through in the upper left corner

Cabin Floor:

Very solid.

Trunk Floor:

Was very badly rusted through and I have started to remove the old floor. The car originally had a trunk rack that was removed years ago. Water apparently leaked through and rotted out the trunk floor. I have removed the old floor. The rear frame rails are very solid.

Doors:

Both doors are very solid and have only very minor dings. The glass and internals come with the door.

Trunk Lid:

Typical rust around the inside lip. May be repairable. It has the inserts for the trunk rack but the rack itself is not included.

Front and Rear Valences:

Not Included

K member:

Good condition and included with the car.

Front Brakes:

The front suspension is complete with disc brakes

Rear Suspension:

Rear axle, gears, brakes and leaf springs are still in place. Condition is unknown. Someone has installed traction bars.

Wheels :

Miss matched wheels and tires. Tires hold air but are only good to roll the chassis around.

Quarter Panels:

Quarter panels are fairly good. The bottom of the right panel behind the wheel is rusted through at the bottom. The left side has some damage at the rear window and at the very back.

The rear quarter glass and regulators are included but are not installed.

Front Seats:

Right seat looks like there was a cigarette fire in the bottom cushion. Foam is burned but the seat frame appears to be fine. Left seat appears to be OK. Both seats will need upholstery. The seat tracks for the drivers side are missing. The back of the passenger bucket seat is missing.

Rear Seats:

The seat cushion and seat back are included but will need to be re-upholstered.

Door Panels:

The Door panels and rear quarter panels are included.

Rear Window glass and trim:

The rear window is included as is the interior and exterior window trim.

Windshield and trim:

Not included

Console and Shifter:

Not included

Bumpers:

The rear bumper is included but the front bumper is missing.

Tail lights:

The tail lights are included.

Hood:

Nice Ralley hood with inserts and hinges

Grill, Directional lights and headlight rims:

Included but the grille will need repair as it is cracked.

Panel in Front of Hood:

The panel assembly in front of the hood is included. It is in fairly decent condition but the panel at the bumper is missing one end.

Dash:

The dash had standard gages. The assembly complete with gages, padded dash pad is included. The dash pad is badly cracked and the radio is gone. The VIN number is still attached to the dash.

Master Cylinder and Power Brake Booster:

Not Included

Steering Box, Column and Wheel:

Included. The steering box is original but the column and steering wheel are not original to car. The column includes keys.

Repair Panels:

Included are the following after market patch/repair panels.

1. Trunk floor

2. Left and Right Trunk extensions

3. Left front fender lower repair panel.

4. Left and Right repair panels for the lower quarter behind the rear wheels

The car is being sold AS IS/Where it is and does not include any sort of warrantee. Pickup/Shipping is by the buyer.

The car is located near Allentown Pa. and is available for inspection.
