1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp Coupe Additional Info:
Please visit for additional photos, information and a video. How often do you see a 47-year old vehicle that is a one owner? Well, that’s exactly what we have here. This 1972 Plymouth Valiant Scamp was bought new in 1972 by the current owner and has been so well cared for it still wears its original paint! The owner went on to be an ASE Certified Mechanic, so you know this car was taken care of. The 27,361 miles on the odometer are the actual miles! This Scamp is a time capsule inside and out. The exterior still wears the original Medium Green Metallic paint with dark green vinyl roof. The Scamp was the sister car to the Dodge Dart and have become very collectible since the Darts have skyrocketed in price the last few years. This example is as original as you will find and drives like a dream. The original 225 CID Slant 6-cylinder engine still purrs under the hood and it is backed by the original 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission and power steering. The fender tag decodes to give some insight into the other options this vehicle came with from the factory. Things like: a vinyl bench seat, full vinyl roof, tinted windshield, left hand chrome outside mirror, 3-speed variable wipers, trunk compartment light, hood/fender mounted turn signals, roof rail drip moldings, wide sill molding, belt and hood molding, quarter panel tape treatment, Music Master AM radio and protective insert body side black moldings. The interior is virtually untouched and looks like it has barely been sat in. Everything is as it would have been in 1972 including the Scamp sticker on the dash. The Scamp has to be one of the coolest mascots for a muscle car, but these were overshadowed by the Dart, Duster and Road Runner. If you’re looking for an untouched, mostly original cruiser that will set you apart from the crowd, this 1972 Plymouth Scamp is a great option! Only normal wear and tear soft parts have been replaced throughout this Scamp’s lifetime. This vehicle is eligible for an extended service contract through Classic Vehicle Protection.
