1968 Plymouth Barracuda Formula S Fastback Additional Info:

You are bidding on a REAL 340S fastback barracuda - "P code". It was restored about 18 years, by the previous owner. It was pretty much totally disassembled - fenders, doors, glass, etc. it had new qtr panels installed, trunk floor extensions, and outer wheelwells. The rest of the sheetmetal is original mopar. The floor pans had a couple of weak areas, but not bad enough to replace the whole pan. Bob told me he just repaired the areas with new metal.the bodywas stripped to bare metal and started from there. The paint is a PPG urethane single stage "sunfire yellow", which was the original color. The car was born a 340, 4 speed. It now has a 74 360 and a 727 automatic. I am told the 360 was rebuilt mostly stock, but a little bigger cam. stock exhaust manifolds and dual exhaust. The pedals and hump are still in the car. I have a "A body" 4 speed trans I got for it. I was going to change it back. It goes with the car, if you want it. It has power steering and power brakes. the engine has new radiator hoses, alternator, Thermostat, valve covers, etc. The tires have less than a couple of thousand miles on them. new rings and new centers. The speedometer shows 26k miles. I have know idea if that is actual or once over. The speedometer needs a different gear in transmission because it reads faster than you are actually going. The bumpers are new, as is the gas cap and door handles. The tail light housings were re-chromed. The seats have been recovered, new headliner, and carpet. I have another dash bezel which is un-cut around the radio area. It also goes with the car. I consider the car a "driver". The paint is still very presentable, nice shine. it is not perfect and was not perfect when is was new. it has some nicks, minor scratches, etc; that have been touched up. You have to look close, but they are there. Again, its a driver kind of car. If you are looking for a perfect "show car", keep looking and be prepared to reach deeper into your wallet! the car runs and drivesgood. It turns heads wherever you go. You just don't see fastback barracudas often. you are welcome to come look in person and drive it. I am located in Winchester VA along interstate 81. You can reach me at 540-336-3357

Just want to address about some questions asked. High beam, low beam, back-up lights, turn signals, flashers, horn all work. heater blower works. The previous owner actually ran regular tags on it and got in PA inspected yearly. I do not have a orig radio for it.
