1968 Plymouth GTX Additional Info:

I have decided to sell my GTX. I bought it for an investment and cruise night car! The car had a color change from dark metallic green to the color it is now probably 20 years ago. It had the center trunk pan section replaced at that time. All other sheet metal on the cars looks to be original to the car. The only rust in this car is what is shown in the picture. A few tiny bubbles along the passenger side rocker seam about the size of a dime if that! The paint is old but cleans up good and shows well! The interior is original except for the headliner which is poorly installed, but new!
This is "not" a numbers matching car! It has from what I can tell, a 70 model 440, the original 727 automatic, and a 3.55 Sure Grip. The motor holds great oil pressure, doesn't smoke, runs cool, and pulls hard! If the car has set for a long period of time it takes the tranny a few seconds to go into gear and then it shifts good and firm! The sure grip works great, and the car drives good and is pretty tight! The car is a very good, driver quality GTX, that is almost rust free! Everything works except the gas gauge and someone in earlier years installed one under the dash. The fender tag is long gone but everything that I have checked shows it's a true 440 GTX! The floor pans, torque boxes, frame rails, etc. are rust free!
You can fly in and drive the car home! It has been dependable, fun to drive, and attracts a lot of attention everyone I take it! It's getting hard to find these cars that are not a rust bucket! Call me with questions! 918-282-9422 The car is sold "as is" "where is!"
