1970 Plymouth Road Runner Additional Info:

Vehicle Overview The Superbird, with its streamlined nose and trademark rear wing, is an instantly recognizable American icon and part of Plymouth's unique "Rapid Transit System" of the muscle car era. This particular example is documented by its original broadcast sheet, authenticating this truly rare car. Painted Tor Red, one of Chrysler's "High Impact" colors for 1970, this Superbird is one of the approximately 270 finished in this rare shade. After being beautifully restored in this stunning color combination, it was then sent to renowned Mopar specialist Roger Gibson for the final mechanical refurbishment and under hood detailing. The mechanicals in this car are stout, as it features a 390 horsepower 440 Six Pack (1 of 716) and a TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission (1 of 408). On the Rally Gauge equipped dashboard is the famed Tic-Toc-Tach. Also present on the steering wheel is the famous "Beep-Beep!" Road Runner horn! This rare Mopar rolls on Chrysler Rally Wheels that are wrapped with a set of Goodyear Polyglas tires. The trim tag has been decoded by Mopar historian Galen Govier, and all associated paperwork is included with the vehicle. This car also has the distinction of being in the Chrysler Registry as well as the official Superbird Registry. Also included is an original Motor Trend magazine from January 1970 that features a cover story on the "The Ultimate Road Runner Superbird"! Well preserved over the years this Superbird is ready for show and go!
