1976 Plymouth Fury Additional Info:

Available for sale is my 1976 Plymouth Fury Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane – Dukes of Hazzard tribute. She is originally a Georgia car and rust-free. She has her original 360/auto and since she was originally a ‘Salon’ trim level, she has all the creature comforts you might expect – A/C, cruise control, cushy seating, etc. She is straight and I don’t believe that she has ever been in an accident. Last year she got new exhaust, brakes, tune-up and she runs well. She also got new wiper arm bushings installed. I would trust her driving anywhere.

The paint is typical Maaco – it has a few sags and errors here and there. I’ve had my fun with her (my son has a General Lee) and it’s time to let it go since I am in the market for a new truck.

A lot of time was spent making sure the authentic look was captured – I found a very rare Federal Signal Aero-Dynic lightbar and it is controlled by a Federal Signal SW200-12 switch console. The sounds are provided by a Federal Signal PA300 through a 122dB loudspeaker behind the grill. It is LOUD! The CB radio is a Radio Shack TRC-421A that was NOS (new old stock) when installed and is connected to a Hustler antenna on the trunk.

A few items:

The tires are starting to show a bit of cracking on the sidewall, so it might be time to update them soon.

The speedometer and AM radio don’t work – I’ve never looked into repairing them.

The driver seat bottom has about a 3-inch split in it.

The A/C seems to have a leak and will likely need to be recharged in order to come back on again.

She is a little cantankerous on cold starts occasionally, so someone with good carb tuning experience can probably make that adjustment.

She is not perfect, so don’t expect a trailer-queen, but she is a lot of fun for events, car shows, parades, etc. She is straight and rust-free, so it’s a great car to tinker with. She is offered as-is and where-is. I am willing to help with loading if you send a trucking company to pick the unit up. She has a clear title that is in my name. You are welcome to make an appointment and visit with the car before placing a bid if you’d like. Yes, you can keep the old Georgia plate, I will leave it with the car – and the confederate flag on the front plate goes with the car as well. Deposit can be paid via PayPal, balance in cash or certified funds before the car leaves.
