1970 Plymouth Barracuda Additional Info:

1970 Barracuda Fuel Injected 383 4 Speed
This is the perfect car for the person who just wants to get in and go. It starts up almost every time on the thirdturn of the engine and instantly runs at a nice idle weather on choke or already warmed up. None of the gas feathering or revving that most of these old mopars need untilat running temperature. It is a very solid nice car that will win some local car shows or just get on the highway and cruise or even take on a trip. This barracuda was originally equipped with the slant 6 and a 3 speed on the floor
The body and paint on this car is outstanding. The paint is so new that you will have to wait a few months before waxing. It has been painted in a base clearthat has been sanded three times before buffing bringing it to a mirror finish. The body is extremely flat and straight and door and fender gaps are good. I can attest to all of these things because all the work was performed by me and a retired body man that I use.It has had rear quarters installed by some previous work. and a small sectionin bottom of trunk floor has asmall patch. I believe that when engine was installed that fire wall and inner fenders where painted then resulting in a very slightdifference in paint shade to outside body. I am very picky about body and paint work and will assure you that you will be pleased. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this paint work a solid 9 and in my world there are no 10's.
The drive train of this Barracuda again is very solid and reliable and seems to be a take anywhere kind of car. The Fuel Injected 383 starts right up every time and instantly goes to a nice idle regardless of the temperature outside. There are no knocks or funny noises. This engine has aluminum heads and I would say that performance and H.P. would be just slightly higher then the 335 horse of the day. The Fuel injection and accompanying computer system was done by EFI Source known for their quality workmanship. This Pistol grip 4 speed shifts through all the gears as it should with no grinding and the clutch is firm and strong with no slippage. The 83/4" 355 ratiosure grip performs as it should and again no funny noises or howls.
The suspension of this barracuda is again very solid and clean and this car drives down the road with a tight feel. There are no wobbles or clunks and with the added sway bars front and rear there is little to no body lean. This Barracuda has front disc brakes on front and drums on the rear and this cars stops quickly and straight.
I believe that most of interior has been replaced which includes but not limited to carpeting, seat covers, headliner, door panels, and a new dash pad. All gauges work and all windows roll up and down right and meet to each other well.
All in all this isa very solid well put together car. It has the look and sound of the old muscle car with the reliability of the fuel injection system and computer. It drives, stops, and steers as it should and should give years of fun and reliability. That being said it is a 46 year old car and even though I am trying to be as accurate in my description as possible there are no warranties written expressed or implied. This Barracuda is sold where is as is and the shipping is responsibility of purchaser. I strongly recommend inspections by you or your agent. and will make car easily accessable to do so. Would entertain all offers or interesting mopars. This car should be picked up within 30 days of purchase unless previously arranged. Any Questions 636 219 7298 Thanks Bill
