1958 Packard Hawk Additional Info:

Here is a seldom seen 1958 Packard Hawk, Built on the Studebaker Golden Hawk platform, These cars were got the 289 supercharged 275 Hp engines with 3 speed automatic trans, I have original paperwork for this east coast car that came to Michigan in 1961, A friend bought this car in 1962 for his wife, she drove it daily until 1968 when he parked it, disgusted with the paint job it just received, he parked it with hopes of restoring it years later,
They only made 588 of these cars and very few exist, in 1958 these cost more than a Corvette, Leather interior and full gauges, supercharger, And with 275 Hp it was a strong performer in its day, car has optional posi rear axle and wonder bar radio, It is as far as I can see 100% correct and complete. Auction results show these cars are hitting 6 figures restored, This car was backed into barn in 1968, Shut off and remained there until this spring, I installed battery and lights work and engine rolls over, had no spark, I pulled distributor cap off, removed screws and pulled tachometer sending unit up and brushes and springs appeared, dropped, I stopped,, Im not damaging anything, Im sure it will run and can be a driver real easy, Super charger turns over and feels normal,
Car has no outside visible rust, trunk floor has several patches visible, underside has nice floor pans, has some rust in rockers, Very nice project car or driver. I will post more pictures, Would have to do interior, complete but is barn fresh, new carpet and seat covers go a long ways.Deserves full restoration, If you have questions call 616-696-8863 days
