1968 Ford Mustang GT Coupe Additional Info:

This is a numbers matching car. Built in San Jose CA and never left the Bay Area. The car had 90,000 miles on it when it received a full restoration. Over three years to complete. The drivability of the car feels great. A joy to drive. It feels like a new 1968 mustang. Currently equipped with 4 wheel power disc brakes, power steering, under dash air conditioning, & fog lights. Complete stripped to bare metal and repaint to Nitemist blue. Both front and rear valances replaced. White c-stripe kit. Correct styled wheels 15x7 - 15x8. Cooper tires 235/60R15. 245/60R15.
ENGINE. Original 302 V8 recently rebuilt to Kmodel specs. Finely balanced and built by Ron Tomisello of San Jose. This is the original block and crank shaft. TRW10 1/2 to 1 pistons solid lifter cam 512-536 lift net makes horsepower from 1500-5500 rpm. High pressure oil pump. Boss302 main cap bolts. Boss302 dipstick, Boss302 oil pan 7 qt capacity with baffle in the bottom. Heads were changed to 351 Windsor, opened up, Iskey springs, TRW stainless steel valves, Bronz oillight valve guides, screw in studs with guide plates, installed head studs into the block. Motor runs good with no smoke. Our conservative guess at current hp would be 270-290 range. 4bbl edelbrock carb with electric choke, pertronix inignition- no points, HI rise aluminum manifold, new dual exhaust system with correct tips and hypo manifolds. Big block radiator runs cool. Cobra dress up valve covers and air cleaner. Windshield washer tank and correct foot pump.
Transmission-close ratio 4speed top loader/fresh. Rear end- 9 inch ford position with traclock from a Lincoln versille, custom axles with larger flanges.325 rear gear ratio, the car was built with 325 gears stock.Brakes - 4 wheel power disc, GT 350 kit on the front, Willwood rear brake system and E brake.
SUSPENSION AND STEERING - new coil springs 620lb. New 5 leaf springs in the rear, 4 new shocks, new upper and lower control arms and all bushings, front sway bar, stock steering box, Tilt steering column, Lecarra Shelby styled steering wheel.
EXTERIOR - new bumpers, moldings, door handles inside and out, both mirrors one remote, new emblems, GT pop open gas cap, new headlights and taillights, front and rear glass rubber seals replaced - no leaks. Still has original side glass - good shape. Replaced upper and lower hinges on doors. “California Special” side scoops - NONOPERATOINAL.
INTERIOR - new black vinyl upholstery and foam seat buns, Headliner, Carpet, Kick panels, armrests, door panels,door sills, dash pad, under dash air conditioning. New window regulators and rollers/door locks, package tray with raised 6 X 9 speakers, replaced all seals rubber moldings and window scrapers. Auto sound radio with USBport. Slight pitting on inside wing window door frames. Gauges had oringal tack dash,it was replaced with “New Vintage” 5 gauge cluster with 8000 RPM tack with wood grain bezel. New Noah car cover. This car came from the factory with center console,” NOW MISSING”, I needed the leg room.
These items go with the ca, new comp cam 271H & 16 hydralic lifters, almost new holly 600CFM carburatror, car cover.
Over 3 years was spent to meticulously Rebuild and Restore this classic beauty. The car was built in San Jose Caifornia and never left California. This is a rust free California car, straight as an arrow. Stock ride height, not lowered. This car is NOT a “RESTO MOD”. We kept it stock except the rear end and the air conditioning. Approximately 800miles since completion. As the motor breaks in it will need fine tuning.
