Now for the bad. This is a very solid Opel but it does have a couple of small rust areas. One on the inside of the forward right rear wheel well (the exterior panel is solid with no sigh of rust) and another on the bottom of the left front fender, see pics. The floor pan is solid but does have several dents in it from the inside out. My guess is that at some point before the car was brought back to life the car was piled full of junk. Probably engine and transmission parts. For some reason people seem to do that with these cars. The paint is around 15 years old and while it is still nice and shinny with very few chips and scratches, whoever did it left a lot to be desired. The car was blasted, but door dings and small imperfections were just painted over. At some point the car had been hit in the left rear corner, A new corner piece was welded in but was also not finished out properly. As far as I can tell that is the only major damage this car has had. There was also no care taken in straining the paint or insuring there was no moisture in the air line as it has a few imperfections from that as well. It's a good looking car as is and the average person doesn't notice. But to the trained eye It's definitely a 20 footer. A little light body work and new paint would make it really stand out. I have done all the mods to the car and can answer any questions you may have. I can send picks if you want to see more. Send me your E-mail and let me know what you want to see. One last thing, this is a very small car, it's very comfortable and has plenty of leg room, but if you are over 6 ft or 220 lbs it is NOT the car for you.
A $250 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hrs of auction close. Full payment will be in cash when picked up.
Since my wife and I are getting ready to retire and will be doing more things together, we have been thinking that we no longer need two classic cars. She wants to keep her Camaro (see my other listing) and I want to keep my Opel, So we decided to put them both up for sale and if one sells the problem is solved. Seriously, go check out the Camaro, it's the car you want.
