1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Additional Info:

1988 Cutlass Supreme Classic with a 307 Oldsmobile engine and 200R4 overdrive automatic transmission. Power windows, power locks, power drivers side bucket seat, tilt wheel, T-Tops, leather steering wheel, A/C, AM/FM touch screen radio with CD player, rear defrost, cruise control. Was told mileage is actual, I can not prove or disprove otherwise so you be the judge.
Body has the original paint with the only visual rust is on the drivers side lower rocker panel in front of the rear tire. There is a small bubble in the exact same spot on the passenger side. The paint of the car is sun baked from very little shade in Western Nebraska where the car came from. The clear coat has tiny cracks through out the top of the car (trunk lid, hood). The short vinyl top has cracks in it as well but there is no rust or soft spots under it that you could see or feel. The missing polished trim (3 pieces) are in the trunk. The doors click shut like the should (you don't have to slam them). The body lines all match up like they should for an original car. Rear frame rails are solid. T-Tops must have leaked at one time as the seal plates have sealer of some sort building up the seal height. The dark spots on the floor mat is from my feet as I just left the car wash.
Interior is nice looking for it's age and the power locks work, the power windows work, tilt is tight, the leather on the steering wheel is nice, floor shifter functions like it should. The power seat motor works but the little plastic gear that floats between the motor and the seat transmission slips due to a crack in it (common problem) but you can buy a new gear right here on ebay for 25 bucks. The power antenna wire is not hooked up to the stereo, I was going to buy a stock radio and put it in but never did so I wasn't worried about it, just used CD's.
The engine runs well and is strong. AC compressor is missing so the AC does not work. Transmission shifts like it should. I put new exhaust from the Y pipe back in the spring. The car drives and rides smooth and everything seems tight. I drive the car to and from work and some pleasure trips because it is a good reliable car that still looks good even though it has flaws.
I would put a new top on the car (350.00) and have MAACO repaint the car as I know they can do better than what GM put on it in 1988 and drive the wheels off of it or leave it as is as it still looks good and gets thumbs up.
Please ask all questions that you have and I will answer them to the best of my ability. This is my personal car, I am not a dealer and I won't BS you to make a sale. If you are going to have the car picked up by a shipper, the car must be paid in full with verified funds, meaning if you send a cashiers check for payment and your bank requires a clearing period, the car stays until it is 100% cleared from the bank it is drawn by. Cash is required if you are paying in person and picking up local.
